The Institute has been approved by Director General of Civil Aviation under Category ‘G’ to impart ab-initio courses to prospective BAMEC / AMEs. The scope of approval and its limitations are given as under Category ‘G’: To conduct ab-initio training courses in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering training to obtaining Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License (BAMEL) in following categories:

1. MECHANICAL STREAM (AEROPLANE & POWER PLANT)
2. AVIONICS STREAM (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, INSTRUMENT SYSTEM & RADIO NAVIGATION SYSTEM)
